Description
of the Resources
The resources on this site are identified by the following features:
- Title.
- Author.
- Publication date.
- Type of media (Hardcopy,
Website, CD/DVD, Videotape), indicated graphically.
Hard copy means the resource is available on paper, not on the
web. Website means the resource is available in full on the web.
CD/DVD means the resource is available in either CD or DVD format.
Videotape means the resource is available on VHS tape.
- Brief description.
- Affiliation
(Government, Prosecution, Judicial, Defense, Vendor, Other). The
designation of affiliation is intended to indicate, if possible,
the general position represented by the resource. The designations
are made by the New Mexico Judicial Education Center, not necessarily
by the authors or publishers of the resources.
- Availability. If
the resource is available online in full or in part, a link is
provided to its website. Otherwise, information is provided on
whom to contact for further details or to obtain a copy of the
resource.
Searching
the Resources
The resources are organized and indexed in the following ways:
Quick Search:
The Quick Search box in the top right-hand corner of every page
allows for searching all the resources by specified terms. Delete
the words “Quick Search” in the box, type in the desired
search term (one word or several) and click on “Go”
to see a list of all the resources containing that word. The search
terms are not case sensitive, meaning you can use either upper or
lower case letters to find the same results.
Main Search: The
Main Search heading at the top of every page links to a page where
the resources can be searched by various specifications. You can
search by keyword, author, topic, type of resource, type of media,
affiliation or publication date, or any combination of these.
Topic: The
Topics list on the right side of every page displays the resources
categorized by topic area. Click on a topic or subtopic to see all
the resources within that category.
Resource Type:
The three types of resources—Training, Publications, Videos—are
listed as headings across the top of every page. Training includes
curricula, presentations, exercises and other materials that can
be used for training purposes. Publications include reports, books,
charts and other textual materials that are available on the web
or in hard copy. Videos include resources on the web that contain
videos, as well as resources available on videotape. Click on one
of the types to see a list of all the resources of that type.
Viewing
the Resources
The resources are automatically listed in reverse chronological
order (newest to oldest) under each subtopic heading. To view the
resources in alphabetical order within a subtopic, click on “Alpha/Numeric”
in the “Sorting By” line on the top left side of the
page under the DUI logo. To change back to reverse chronological
order, click on “Date” in the “Sorting By”
line.
